A Journey Born from a Single Question.
The inspiration for this platform came from my time hosting an Airbnb in Japan. Time and time again, I met wonderful foreign guests who shared the same dream: soaking in a traditional Japanese hot spring (onsen).
To help my guests, I found myself constantly calling local ryokans on their behalf. "Are you tattoo-friendly? Do you have private baths? What if they cover it?" I realized a painful truth: Major booking sites lack reliable filters for these specific needs.
If it takes this much effort for a native speaker to find a welcoming ryokan, it must be nearly impossible for foreign travelers to do it alone. Many simply give up on experiencing the "real" Japan out of fear of rejection. I wanted to change that.
